Message ...and washed it with soap and water - cleaning oil just didn't make sense to me. I dried it off, and reinstalled it. Did I do something stupid here guys?

Also, major props to Luke@tirerack for my Yokohama AVS ES100's. $93 a piece + shipping = one happy customer.

These tires hold all the way through 1st gear. I used to fishtail in 2nd with my old tires. Conclusion: AVS ES100's are excellent tires for dry traction - I have yet to drive in the rain, but I think I can safely assume that the wet traction will be good too.

And of course I want to give Coz another thank-you for the wheel bearing he sent quickly and kindly a month or so ago - it's installed and along with my near tires, the road noise went from heinous to unnoticable.
